Heidenreichstein Nature Park
Stories from the moor
Near the town of Heidenreichstein, in the north-western Waldviertel, stretches a place of exceptional natural beauty: the large hill moor.
In the heart of the moor
The moor tells its stories about natural jewels, enchanted landscapes and enigmatic landscapes and mysterious cult sites. In 2021, the title "Nature Park of the Year" goes to the Nature Park Heidenreichsteiner Moor, which particularly shone with its cross-border nature conservation work, as well as the possibility to experience the moor sensually. Activities and offers were judged in the categories: Protection, Education, Recreation, Regional Development and Marketing - the Nature Park Heidenreichsteiner Moor achieved excellent results in all areas.
